💡 Making Instructions:
- Melt butters and oils together in a double boiler until liquid
- Remove from heat and let cool to about 100°F (38°C)
- Mix dry ingredients (powders) together in a separate bowl
- Slowly add dry ingredients to melted oils, stirring constantly
- Add essential oils and stir well to combine
- Add vitamin E drops and stir
- Pour into tins/jars and let cool completely before lidding
- Allow to cure 24-48 hours before use
Shelf life: 6-12 months. Store in a cool, dry place. If it melts in heat, it will resolidify when cooled.
💡 Natural Deodorant Tips
Transition Period
Switching from commercial deodorant? Your body may take 2-4 weeks to adjust. This is normal!
Baking Soda Sensitivity
If you experience irritation, try reducing baking soda to 10% or eliminate it entirely. Arrowroot + magnesium hydroxide work great.
Application Tips
Apply to clean, dry skin. For cream types, warm a pea-sized amount between fingers first. Less is more!
Hot Weather
Natural deodorants can melt above 76°F. Store in a cool place or refrigerator during summer months.
